Carr Head Primary

Our mission statement is to prepare the children of today to flourish in the world of tomorrow through nurturing mind, body and soul.

Carr Head OOSC

School budgets are very tight at the moment. The Institute for Fiscal Studies [IFS] recently reported in The Guardian that the introduction of the national funding formula, which will redistribute money to schools in a way that ministers say will be fairer, is the “largest shakeup in school funding in England for at least 25 years”. With this in mind I have been tasked by the Governing Body to generate additional income for our school.

Therefore, despite 15 years of service, it is with regret that with effect from 25th July 2018, we will be terminating our letting agreement with Happy Days and no longer be using Kool Kids for our out of school care (OOSC).  Instead, we are pleased to announce that we will be running our own OOSC in house, from September 2018.

We have liaised with Happy Days who will continue to provide OOSC (Kool Kids) until the end of this academic year.  The Governors wish to extend their thanks to Happy Days for providing this service to our families.  Happy Days staff will remain employees of Happy Days and will not tupe over to the new club.

The new club will consist of a Manager and 3 Assistants.  We will be advertising the vacant posts via the Lancashire County Council website.  If you or anyone you may know who is suitable for the post are interested in applying, then please do so online.

Obviously there will be a large amount of organisation and preparation required by school for the Club to run effectively and smoothly.  However, we ask that you bear with us in the first instance for any ‘teething problems’ that may occur. We will, of course, do our utmost to provide an excellent service from day one.

Initially we will be providing Breakfast and After School care, and one week Holiday Club in October and May half terms.  However, once we have established a successful set up, we may be able to offer other Holiday Clubs in addition to this.

Over the next term, we will be providing further details and also be introducing a Parent Pay system where you can pay for the club, dinner monies, trips etc. all online.  Again, please bear with us in the initial stages.  Registration information for the club and Parent Pay will be available in the summer term.
