If your child has asthma, we will need a named inhaler and spacer (if required) to be left in school at all times. Please order spares of each now so you have it in time for your child starting school.  We will also need instructions from the doctor about dosage. This will either be on the named label on the inhaler box, or on your child’s asthma plan. Bring the completed form into school and we will keep a copy to help support your child in school.

If your child requires medication for their allergy, we will need this to be kept in school. at all times. Please order/buy spare medication now, so you have have it in time for your child starting school.

If your child has an Epi-pen, please contact school direct so we can discuss this further,.

PTFA

We are lucky to have an amazingly supportive PTFA group within school comprising of Mums, Dads, Carers, Grandparents and teachers. A lovely friendly group who are fab to work with. Unfortunately, they are not able to arrange events for the foreseeable future, but if you would like to be involved at a later date, it is a great way to meet people and support school.

School Dinners and Milk

Meals

All children in KS1 infants are entitled to a Universal Free School Meal (UFSM) as part of a government initiative.

All food is cooked on site. Carr Head is a ‘Fresher Plus’ school which means that most meat is fresh (not frozen), and pizza products/dough etc are handmade from scratch by our cook Tracy. Please see menu link below. Please note. Due to COVID restrictions, we are currently only able to offer 2 meal choices per day. This is to save time, because we are having to stagger dinner times across the school so that class bubbles don’t mix.
