Headteacher’s Welcome
Welcome To
Carr Head Primary School
At Carr Head Primary School we strive to provide a welcoming, caring and safe environment where everyone feels confident and valued. Where everyone is able, through support and high expectations, to achieve and succeed.
As well as meeting National Curriculum requirements, our curriculum aims to be interesting, exciting, relevant to the context of the school, and give children a genuine love of learning through offering a wide range of experiences and learning opportunities. It allows children to meet their unique potential through being inclusive, celebrating diversity, and aims to educate the whole child, preparing them to flourish in the world of tomorrow.
As a school, we believe that it is important to develop positive relationships and a sense of belonging for all children. Children achieve well and enjoy their learning because of the positive relationships that exist between all members of the ‘Carr Head family’. Good manners and good behaviour are regarded as key elements in a balanced all round education which prepares children to take their place as responsible and contributive adults in an ever changing society.
A highly committed and professional staff work hard to ensure that the high standards for which Carr Head is recognised are maintained whilst at the same time delivering stimulating and engaging lessons which are relevant and in accordance with the children’s abilities. The outcome of our most recent OFSTED inspection (July 2022) was that the school ‘continues to be a good school’.
We operate an “open door” policy, and parents are always welcome to visit the school. The successful running of our school is very much dependent on a partnership and we regard parents as an integral part of our Carr Head family.
Whilst our website allows you a sense of what our school has to offer, I would be proud to welcome you to our school to experience the positivity and warmth of our school for yourselves. Please contact the office to make an appointment.
