Our French curriculum aims to inspire a love of language learning while developing pupils’ confidence in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Children build a strong foundation in vocabulary, pronunciation and basic grammar, enabling them to communicate in simple spoken and written French.
Through learning about France and other French-speaking countries, pupils develop cultural awareness, curiosity and respect for the wider world.
By the end of Key Stage 2, pupils are well prepared to continue their language learning at high school.
