Pupil Premium Grant
The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the Department for Education (DfE) to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in state-funded schools in England.
Funding is allocated to schools based on the number of pupils who:
* Are eligible for Free School Meals (FSM).
* Have been eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years.
* Are looked after by the local authority.
* Have been previously looked after.
* Have parents serving in the armed forces (Service Premium)
The purpose of the funding is to help close the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers.
